Frequently Asked Questions
Do you handle procedures throughout Spain?
Yes, although our offices are in Barcelona, we carry out immigration procedures in all provinces of Spain, thanks to the fact that many procedures can be managed online through official platforms.
Can you process my application if I am outside Spain?
Yes, we process applications from your country of origin, such as stays or residence permits, without the need for you to be physically in Spain. The entire process can be done digitally.
How long does it take to resolve an immigration procedure in Spain?
The time depends on the type of application. Some procedures are resolved in 30 working days, and others can take up to 3 months, according to current regulations.
If I hold a student stay, can I work or do I need an additional permit?
Yes, if you have a valid student stay, you can work up to 30 hours per week without needing additional authorization.
Can I apply for a work residence if I live outside Spain?
Yes, there are different ways to obtain a work residence. If you have a job offer, contact us and we will advise you according to your situation.
Does the time spent in Spain as a student count toward nationality?
No, time spent under a student stay does not count towards Spanish nationality. The count starts once you obtain a legal residence (for work, internships, etc.). However, this time is considered for an “arraigo” (rooting) application.
I have a job offer but haven't finished my studies. Can I change my stay to a work residence?
It depends. If the salary offered is over €40,500 per year, you can apply for a residence as a highly qualified professional, even without having finished your studies. If not, you will need to wait until you finish them.
I want to start a business in Spain. Can I obtain a residence permit?
Yes, there are two options: residence as an entrepreneur, for innovative projects, and residence as self-employed, for those who wish to work independently. Both allow you to carry out a legal economic activity in Spain.
Can I bring my partner or family to live with me if I already have residence in Spain?
Yes, you can apply for family reunification if you meet the economic and housing requirements. This allows your family members to legally reside with you in Spain.
Can I get a residence permit if I work remotely for a foreign company?
Yes, there is a special permit for international teleworkers (digital nomads). This allows you to live legally in Spain while working for a company located outside the country. We can help you apply.
